It’s four years today , since Stephen Keshi passed away . But still, former Super Eagles’ coach remains in the minds . For his achivements in African football history .

On this day in 2016 the world of African football was mourning Stephen Keshi . Particularly Nigeria , a nation he played for between 1981 and 1994 . Before assuming the responsibility of head coach of the national team . This from 2011 up to 2015 .

Keshi won an AFCON in 1994 when he was playing . And as manager , former Anderlecht player led Nigeria to the African summit in 2013 .

In commemoration of his death , the NFF (Nigeria Football Federation) pays tribute to the late Stephen Keshi . Through a message on it Twitter account .

“Today we remember former @NGSuperEagles captain and coach, Stephen Okechukwu Keshi. Big Boss we miss you, continue to rest in the Lord’s bosom. #WeRememberKeshi it is written .

CAF used the same social network to send a message in memorial of Keshi . “In 2013 Keshi became the second person to win the #TotalAFCON title as player (1994) and coach, when he led @NGSuperEagles to their third trophy in South Africa.”

Died aged 54 , Stephen Keshi also trained Togo and Mali . He was the one who brought hawks for the first time in 2006 world cup .
