Nigeria Shuaibi Amodu : Joseph Yobo pays tribute to late Super Eagles’ coach

Today marks the fourth anniversary of the death of Shuaibi Amodu . And Joseph Yobo, one of his former players, pays him a touching tribute through social networks.

Nigeria football family is mourning one of his coach once again. Some days after that of Stephen Keshi. On this day in 2016, Shuaibi Amodu passed away. Aged 58. Therfore, Super Eagles’ asistant coach talks about the great man he was.

For having played under his orders, Joseph Yobo pens a vibrating tribute to the one who gave him for the very first time, the chance to play for Nigeria in 2001.

“Rest on coach Shuaibu Amodu. We lost this great man barely three days after coach [Stephen] Keshi. This was very tough to take; I was devastated because he was more than just a coach to me”

“Coach Amodu was a father-figure; he was my go-to anytime I was in doubt and needed clarity or support. You’re greatly missed Coachee, continue to rest in peace.” Yobo wrote on Instagram.
