Appointed in January as head coach of Ghana Black Stars, CK Akonnor reveals his main goal with national team. As hopes grow up for football activities resumption.

Former Hearts Of Oak and Obuasi Godfields manager hopes to start doing his job as Boss of Black Stars. As GFA named him following the sacking of Kwesi Appiah.

Talking to City TV, Charles Akonnor reveals what his main objective is. And former Wolfsburg midfielder priviledges individual concerns.

“I’m looking forward to improving individual players and improve the team as a result,” said Ex-Ghana Black Stars captain.

According to him, team improvement started with personal ones. Because it affects the whole performance of the squad.

“[Once] the team improves, it affects their play. That is my goal. So every time I am thinking about who can fit into certain positions and how we can play. Overall I just want to improve the team.” he added.

He finally reveals to have been chatting with the players amid of the coronavirus pandemic. A way to familiarize with them.

“I’ve been trying to stay in touch with the [Black Stars] players while they are at home because of the COVID-19 pandemic. We usually chat via video calls. I also read lots of books to keep myself ready,” he told City TV.
