Africa Ivory Coast: Covid-19 could jeopardize the FIF general assembly

The long-awaited election for the FIF presidency could have a new calendar change. This is due to the latest developments in the management of COVID-19 crisis in the country.

On Thursday, the National Security Council took new measures. Mainly with the continuation of the ban on population gatherings in Abidjan. Until then, 200 people could meet. But henceforth, gatherings are allowed for only 50 people.

The FIF General Assembly scheduled for 20th June exceeds one hundred people. The federation will have to speak with the Ministry of Sports for the course of action.

Moreover, the government has maintained the state of emergency in the country until 30th June.
