Ghanaian attacking midfielder Bernard Mensah keeps good memories of his former teammate, the Togolese legend Emmanuel Adebayor. For having shared cloakroom with current Olimpia striker at Kayserispor.
Mensah and Adebayor played together for a while at Kayserispor before the Togolese left the club following salaries problems.
Adebayor joined the Turkish side in 2019 whereas Mensah was there one year before. Following a loan from Spanish side Atletico Madrid.
Speaking to Angel FM’s Don Summer, the 25-year-old says Adebayor is like a godfather of him.
“Emmanuel Adebayor is like a godfather to me so he use to teach me how to get to the top” he said.
In addition, he praises the professionalism of ex-Arsenal attacker and the hardworking guy he is.
“…Adebayor is one person who does not joke with his training. He always tell me to train hard. So during the coronavirus break I was training. The covid-19 has helped me a lot” he added.
