The semi-finals of club competitions, Champions League and African Football Confederation Cup (CAF), will be contested next September. CAF announces.

Samson Adamu has spoken out on the future of the Champions League semi-finals. And the African Football Confederation Cup which will take place next September.

African competitions are still on hold since the start of the coronavirus epidemic. But the fate of two competitions has already been decided.

“The semi-finals of the Champions League and the CAF Cup will take place next September, but the final dates have not yet been finalized,” the director of the competition commission told the press. CAF, Samson Adamu.

The final decision on public presence has yet to be made, he said. Noting that CAF would leave local federations free to decide depending on the situation.

“The final of the Champions League will be played in Cameroon, while that of CAF will be played in Morocco,” he continued.

The Champions League semi-finals will pit Raja Casablanca and Zamalek (Egypt). While Wydad Casablanca will battle it out with Al Ahly’s other Egyptian club.

As for the last square of the CAF Cup, it will pit the Renaissance Berkane against Hassania Agadir. Whereas Pyramids (Egypt) will challenge Horoya Conakry (Guinea).
