Great sadness in Davié, about 30 km from Lomé (capital of Togo). Kossi Koudagba, the Togolese footballer will be buried there, his home town.

The ASCK’s 25-year-old goal scorer passed over on Thursday, 18 May following a short illness. Gianni Infantino sympathized with the pain of the Togolese football family.

“It was with great sadness and emotion that I heared of the death of the young international, Kossi Koudagba. Words seem insufficient to express the sadness we feel for this mourning affecting Togolese football. On behalf of the international football community, I would like to express deep sadness and sympathy to the Togolese Football Federation, the ASC Kara Club, as well as to the family, friends, teammates and relatives of Kossi”. FIFA president wrote in a letter.

Twice «Best scorer of the D1», once «Best scorer of the D2», Kossi Koudagba was part of the local national team, historically qualified for 2020 CHAN.
