Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has finally spoken about the transfer speculation making the news that the club wants sign Declan Rice.


The Blues have been busy in the transfer window having signed Hakim Ziyech from Ajax and Timo Werner from RB Leipzig.


Chelsea were unable to be sign a player before the 2019-2020 season after a one-year transfer ban from FIFA.


Since the ban was lifted Lampard has been looking to plug all loopholes and get his players ready to compete for silverwares next season.


There has been speculations that the club wants to sign West Ham player, Declan Rice as well as Manchester United’s out of favour, Angel Gomes.


During Tuesday’s pre-match conference via zoom, Lampard said the club are not after any players as he is confident of his current squad.


He also noted that he’s focused on the remaining games of the season rather than talk about other team players.


The former Chelsea legend praised Declan Rice who was a product of the club academy.


“Declan Rice is a good player, I’ve known him for a long time, he was in Chelsea’s Academy, but there’s no talk. 


“I will keep saying that about every player until these games and this season are finished. There’s nothing to say.”

Chelsea has been linked to series of players in the media including  Bayer Leverkusen defender Havert and Leicester City player Chidwell.
