Victor Osimhen says he dedicates his Marc-Vivien Foé prize to his late father, died on 24th May at 80. As Lille striker won the African best player of Ligue 1 on Monday.

Patrick Osimhen, Victor’s dad passed away a month ago. The event really affects Victor who is yet to join his Lille teammates for training resumption.

After revealing that his goal is to becoming African best player in the world, Victor Osimhen pens a touching tribute to his late father. By dedicating him his amazing award.

He also sent friendly words to Moses Simon who, congratulated him after the coronation.

“Grateful to GOD for almighty. I dedicate this amazing award to my late father. Thanks to those who voted for me and also a big shoutout goes to Moses Simon and the rest of the nominees…thank you once more.” the 21-year-old wrote on Twitter.

Osimhen is one the most promising player of African continent. Even Super Eagles legend Sunday Oliseh compares him to Yekini. Saying that they are of the same caliber.
