Nigerian Players abroad Aina Sinks With Torino As Lazio Did Second Comeback

Ola Aina’s involvement in Tuesday’s Serie A game couldn’t save Torino from defeat at the hands of Lazio at the Stade Olimpico Grande Torino.

Aina was in the starting XI for Moreno Longo side who went into the game to avenge their first leg 4-1 loss away to Lazio.

The defender who played as forward for Torino in their 4-2 loss to Cagliari last week was drafted to midfield in a 3-4-3 formation.

However, he was in action for 70 minutes before Longo brought him out for Simone Edera when the score was still 1-1.

Two minutes later after Aina came off, Marco Parolo scored to complete the comeback for Lazio.

It was a second come back victory for Lazio who recovered from an early shock from their hosts.

Andrea Belotti had put Torino in front from the penalty spot after just three minutes.

When the second half resumed, Torino were unable to hold on to their lead as Ciro Immobile and Marco Parolo scored to run away with the victory.

The result leaves Torino 13th on the league table six points ahead of 18th place Lecce.

Since the Serie A restart, Torino have won just onky one game losing two consecutive games with one draw.

Their next game will be Saturday’s Derby della Mole against league leader Juventus.
