Africa Soccer CAF Cup : Horoya coach Ndiaye prefers playing in Tunisia than Morocco

Lamine Ndiaye

Horoya Athletic Club head coach Lamine Ndiaye contests Morocco’s choice by CAF Executive Committee on Monday, to host semis and final of Confederation Cup.

Horoya AC will play their Confederation Cup game against Egyptian Premier League side Pyramids FC. It will will hold in Morocco. Despite that the country has two representatives in the tournament. RS Berkane and Agadir.

Talking to the official website of the Guinean club, Ndiaye says CAF could have chosen another country. Apart from Morocco. Tunisia for example.

“They could have chosen another country which is not concerned. Tunisia, for example, is a neutral country, more suitable if we wanted to make things neutral. There, the Moroccans will be favored, it is certain…” he regrets.

According to Lamine Ndiaye, the format chosen by Confederation of African Football (CAF) is not really neutral.

“In my opinion when you play matches on neutral ground, it has to be really neutral, especially when we already know the data,”

“We know that there are two Moroccan teams in the semi-finals (note: Berkane and Agadir), so if you play one of these teams in the final, the stadium will be won over to its cause…” he added.

Moreover, he asked CAF to publish dates and times of differents clubs. For a good preparation prior to the crucial fixtures.
