Like FIFA, the CAF announced on Tuesday additional financial assistance to its member associations. This is in order to “ease the financial burden in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic.”

The CAF has allocated $16.2 million for this purpose. The Authority is providing an additional aid to the $200,000 already granted a month ago. At that time, the CAF announced that it would consider “the possibility of additional financial support to the member associations for the resumption and the organisation of their national competitions”.

This time, each federation on the continent will receive $300,000.
