Liverpool have reportedly abandoned the track for Senegalese international Kalidou Koulibaly following an offer by the leaders of the Italian club Napoli.

Despite all the contenders of Kalidou Koulibaly for this transfer window, the Senegalese is very close to the English club Liverpool. While the Reds were ready to move forward on the issue of the Lion of the Teranga, they will finally give up.

The offer proposed by the Neapolitans (90M €) to free Koulibaly would be far above the budget of the Reds (65M €).

Liverpool then abandoned all attempts to offer the services of the Lion. Kalidou Koulibaly will not join the club of his compatriot Sadio Mané next season.
