Nigeria Onuachu Back To Training With Genk After Testing Negative To COVID-19

Super Eagles and KRC Genk forward Paul Onuachu has tested negative to coronavirus and will join the team to train on Friday.

Onuachu who had tested positive last week after returning from a short break in Nigeria could start in Genk game  against Excelssior.

The forward immediately after testing positive last week went on isolation before a second test was conducted that returned negative.

Genk manager, Hannes Wolf confirmed the news and hinted he will train alongside every other club members.

He said, “By Friday he will just train with the group.

“Paul can also compete against Excelsior on Friday in the test match.”

The rest of the Genk squad including Nigerian duo, Cyriel Dessers and Stephen Odey also tested negative for coronavirus.

Genk won their first exhibition game against Union Sint-Gillis 3-1. 

The duo of Odey and Dessers came in as substitute in the second half.
