FA Cup Man Utd – Chelsea : Ighalo sets to “give 100%” in his favorite competiton

Nigeria international Odion Ighalo said he will be ready to give all his best if he plays against Chelsea as Manchester United will host Blues at Old Trafford for FA Cup’s second semi on Sunday night (5pm).

Ighalo likes scoring in FA Cup. As this is the competiton in which the 31-year-old scored the most since his arrival at Manchester United (3 goals in 2 appearances with a brace against Derby County in fifth round).

Talking to the club’s official website on Saturday, Shenghai Shenhua loanee said he will do all he can in case Ole Gunnar Solskjaer lines him up.

“To get to the final would be great for me in my life and my career,” he said.

“If I’m called to play, I’m going to give all I can to help the team win the game.” Ighalo added.

Moreover, the Nigerian striker said no matter how short or long his playing time may be, he will be ready as a professional.

“As a professional you have to be ready, you have to have that mental strength to be ready,” Ighalo said.

“We train hard to keep fit and I’m always ready when I’m called upon. I will give 100%. You always have to stay focused.” he added.

As a reminder, Odion Ighalo felt to reach FA Cup finals in 2016 as Watford was defeated by Crystal Palace (2-1). He will be eager this time to do it with Manchester United. The winning team will join Arsenal in the finals at Wembley.
