Zamalek played their first friendly game on Sunday ahead of Egyptian Premier League restart. And the White Knights defeated severely Smouha 5-1.

Cairo giants didn’t waste time for their return to action against Smouha. Youssef Obama opened the scoring for Zamalek at the 11th minute before netting his brace at the 19th minute.

Seven minutes later, Zizo found the net to make it 3-0 for Patrice Carteron‘s team and four minutes prior to the first-half, Obama back again to complete a hat-trick.

In second-half, Mostafa Mohammed scored the fith goal for Mortada Mansour club. However, they didn’t manage to secure a clean sheet as Smouha scored one goal in the last moments of the game, 5-1 final scoreline.

In addition, two other friendlies await Zamalek. The first against El-Gaish and the second against another heavyweight of EPL, Pyramids FC.
