New club for Thembi Kgatlana. The South African forward has just joined Eibar in Primeira Iberdrola, the Spanish women’s top-tier.
Kgatlana signed up for a season after leaving Benfica last week. The 24-year-old Banyana Banyana broke out to the public in 2018. She plays AFCON with South Africa, which they take to the final.
She was later named Player of the Year at the 2018 CAF Awards. And last year she was in France for the World Cup.
Kgatlana joins Spain after the United States (HustonDash), China (Beijing Phoenix) and Portugal.
She is also the third South African player to join Spain this summer after Amanda Mthandi and Nothando Vilakazi.
