Ghana Egyptian club Wadi Degla in advanced talks to sign Asamoah Gyan

Ghana legendary striker Asamoah Gyan could relaunch his career in Africa. As Egyptian Premier League side Wadi Degla are reportedly closed in signing him.

Free agent since the end of his adventure with Indian Super League side NorthEast United in January, Gyan could put on his boots again. But this time in Africa.

According to Ghanasoccer.net, the 34-year-old’s entourage and Wadi Degla engage negotiations over an agreement for Asamoah.

Currently 16th in Egyptian Premier League table, the Cairo club are known for landing football legends. As ex-France striker Florent Malouda played for them in 2016.

In addition, Wadi Degla are currently fighting against relegation as they are just one point (15) clear of the 17th based-club Misr Lel Makasa (14). Landing former Al Ain FC forward could be a huge boost for Nikki Papavasiliou’s team.

On the other hand, Asamaoh Gyan could find his compatriot Issahaku Yakubu who is a defender for the club.
