Nigerian Players abroad Iheanacho, Ndidi Nominated For Leicester City Awards

Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi has been nominated for Leicester City awards to celebrate the achievements of the current campaign through its 2019/20 End of Season Awards.


Iheanacho was nominated for the goal of the season award while Ndidi who have been outstanding in the midfield was nominated for player of the season award.


Leicester City in a statement on its official website said supporters can now cast their votes in three categories.


Iheanacho’s goal against Brentford in the Emirates FA Cup was nominated among the best goals of the season category.


For the Foxes player of the Season award, every player who featured this season with the club is eligible to be voted for.

The club also added that apart for the player of the year, goal of the year and Young Player of the Year award, awards will also be handed out for the players’ player of the season, Development squad player of the season and Academy player of the season.


There will be no End of Season Dinner this season due to the social distancing guidelines caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.


“Unfortunately due to the current social distancing recommendations in place around the UK, there will be no End of Season Dinner this season.”

The club announced that voting will close at 12 noon on Friday July 24.


Fans will choose their Player of the Season, Goal of the Season and Young Player of the season.


They are advised to visit the club website and vote for player of choice.

Last season’s ceremony at King Power Stadium saw Ricardo Pereira scoop the Supporters’ and Players’ Player of the Season awards on a memorable evening, and after another fantastic season for the team.
