Riyad Mahrez is in the race for Manchester City’s best player of the season. Author of 12 goals and 16 assists in all competitions during the 2019-2020 financial year, the Algerian winger is one of three nominated for the title of best player of the season on the official Skyblues website. The other two nominees are Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva.

In addition, Mahrez is on the list of nominees to win the goal of the season trophy for the Citizens.
