Nigerian Players abroad Ekong Sets To Stop Ronaldo As Udinese Battle For Survival

William Troost-Ekong will be hoping to stop Cristiano Ronaldo and Juventus when Udinese hosts Juventus on Thursday Serie A game at the Dacia Arena-Stadio Friuli.

Ekong have played against the Bianconeri three times since he joined Udinese in the 2018/2019 season but yet to win any game.

With Udinese on the verge of plunging into relegation, a victory for them will revive their survival hope.

Ekong and his teammates have endured a herculean campaign this season even with the change of manager.

He will be looking to help his team end their winless streak against a goal trotting Ronaldo who will be hoping to add more to his goal tally.

Ronald scored for Juve last week and became the first player to score 50 goals in the Premier League, La Liga and Serie A.

Should Ekong be selected by Luca Gotti, it will be his 28th Serie A appearance for the Little Zebra.

He was part of the squad that lost 2-1 to Napoli at the Stadio San Paolo which saw them slipped to 16th of the table seven points clear of 18th-placed Lecce.

Udinese are yet to win any game against Juventus in their last nine meeting.

They have conceded 21 goals and scored just only four in their previous meeting.
