Nigeria Ndidi Rues Missing Champions League Ticket With Leicester City

Wilfred Ndidi has expressed disappointment for missing out of Champions League game next season with Leicester City.


Ndidi who played for 90 minutes in the last game of the just concluded Premier League season expressed his disappointment.

The Foxes missed out of returning to the Champions League following a 2-0 loss at the King Power Stadium.

The midfielder who won the tackler of the season accolade for the third consecutive time rued the inability of his side to hold on till the end.


Leicester poor run of form after the Premier League restart cost them a Champions League place after holding on to third place on the Premier League for long.


Ndidi in a message on his Twitter account thanked the Foxes supporters for standing with them.


He wrote: “We are a bit disappointed to finish 5th.


“But overall, it was a great season!!

I want to first of all thank our fans for being with us even when the stadiums were empty due to the pandemic.


“It was indeed a season to learn from and grow into next season thanks for support #foxes 💙”


Ndidi made 39 appearances for Leicester City in all competition this season and scored two Premier League goals with one assist.
