Liverpool Former Everton striker believes Mo Salah will soon leave Liverpool

Mo Salah

Ex-Everton forward Andy Gray said Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane will sooner rather than later leave English Premier League side Liverpool.

It’s no more a secret. Mo Salah and Sadio Mane week after week stunning displays aroused great number of interests all over Europe. With La Liga giants Real Madrid and Barcelona leading the race.

However, while some legends the likes of Alan Shearer saw no reason for African super duo to leave Anfield, others have a typically opposite view point.

“I’ve been saying to you for some time I think he will leave Liverpool sooner rather than later and I think Mane might also,” Gray told Beinsports.

[Salah] told Liverpool ‘by the way, I’m off this summer’, I think they’ve got a real battle on their hands. I don’t think Liverpool can afford to lose both of them” he added.

Both Salah and Mane made an incredible 2019/20 PL season. As the Egyptian King scored 19 goals and 10 assists and Senegalese ace netting 18 goals with 9 assists to help Liverpool clinch their PL title after a 30-year drought.

Despite all the trophies they won with the Merseyside outfit (UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup), Gray has no doubt of what joining Real Madrid or Barcelona will represent for both Mane and Salah.

“You only hope if you’re Liverpool that the success they’ve had – Champions League victory last year, championship this year – that that would be enough to keep them at the club,” he said.

“But we know foreign footballers have a different view of the Real Madrids and the Barcelonas of this world. They desperately want to play for them, desperately,” Andy Gray concluded.
