Nigeria No Contract Extension For Lokosa At Esperance

Experience of Tunisia has announced that they will not be renewing the contract of Nigerian striker Junior Lokosa ahead of next season.


Lokosa signed a two-anda-half year contract with Espérance Sportive de Tunis on 14 January 2019 but struggled to replicate his goal scoring prowess while t Kano Pillars.


Esperance in a statement on its official Twitter account confirmed that they Lokosa contract has ended.

The former Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) hotshot was top scorer for Kano Pillars and won the Eunisell boot award.


His quest for Europe football landed him in Tunisia having he went on trial with Bulgarian club Ludogorets, and he also had a trial at Norwegian club Brann.


He also tried his luck in China all to no avail.

The 26-year old was the first NPFL player to receive the Eunisell Boot Award after his 19 goals placed him top of the NPFL scoring charts, earning him N3.8million (N200,000 for each goal.


Injuries caused him less playing time with the Tunisian club and he will be hoping revive his career when he finds a new club.
