Arsenal Boss Mikel Arteta hailed his striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang saying his objective is to build the team around the 31-year-old following FA Cup title.

Though his future continues stimulating debates, Aubameyang is one of the key elements of Mikel Arteta team. Gabonese international was there for Arsenal several times all along 2019/20 season. However, Emirates Stadium officials was refused a contract extension proposal by ex-Saint-Etienne forward. But, Arteta wants to build the team around him.

“It’s really important for this club to play in Europe and winning this competition is part of our history. I want to build the team around Aubameyang and I think he wants to stay, now it’s about making a deal. We are on track and represents a large portion (of the future Arsenal) “ , he said after Saturday’s final.

For the moment, the Gabonese striker does not want to comment on his future.
