Uncategorised Kalu Trains With Bordeaux After Surviving COVID-19

Nigerian International Samuel Kalu has tested negative to coronavirus and is back to action with his Ligue 1 club, Bordeaux.

Kalu went on isolation early last month after he tested positive to COVID-19 upon his return from Nigeria back to his club.

The winger returned to training with his teammates on Sunday as they intensify preparation for the 2020-2021 Ligue 1 season.

The club confirmed this with a picture of the Super Eagles player in training session via it’s a Twitter account.

”A return this morning to training,” reads the tweet.

He could be available for selection ahead of the pre-season game against Toulouse.

Kalu joined Bordeaux on August 6, 2018, signing a five-year contract.

He has made 35 appearances and scored four goals in two seasons with the French club.

Last season he scored just one goal in 20 appearances for Bordeaux who finished 12th in the abridged 2019-2020 season due to the COVID-19.

The winger has recently been linked with a move from France with Galatsaray and Fenerbahce jostling for his signature.
