Trabzonspor,  Turkish club would have started negotiations to sign Arsenal and Egypt midfielder, Mohamed Elneny during the upcoming transfer window.

Elneny joined Besiktas last summer on loan from Arsenal in Premier League. Despite good performances in Turkey, the striker is likely to return to England.

Besiktas has been facing unpaid wages situation within the club since the start of the season. And it is not probable that the club applies for their option to buy the player.

Now according to Turkish news outlet Gazete Damga, Besiktas’ league rivals, Trabzonspor have sent an €1.7 million offer to Arsenal to sign the 28-year-old. Additionally, his annual salary is expected to reach €1.5 million and asked the Gunners to pay his remaining wages.

Former Chelsea midfielder and assistant manager led Trabzonspor of having successful season finishing second on the Turkish Super Lig table. And won the Turkish Cup after beating Alanyaspor in the final.

However they were banned from all UEFA club competitions for the 2020–21 and 2021–22 seasons by the UEFA Club Financial Control Body due to breaches of the UEFA Financial Fair Play Regulations.

Elneny made 36 appearances for the Black Eagles this season, helping them finish third. And qualify for the Champions League second qualifying round.
