Nigerian Players abroad Moses Celebrates As Inter Reach Europa League Semis

Nigerian international Victor Moses has relished Inter Milan’s qualifications to the semi-final of the Europa League following their 2-1 victory against Leverkusen.

Inter Milan produced a outstanding performance to book their place in the last four of the one-leg quarterfinal game in Dusseldorf on Monday night.

Moses made his third  appearance in the competition with the Nerazzurri coming as a substitute for Danilo D’Ambrosio in the 53rd minute.

After the game, the 29-year old took to his Twitter to celebrate the victory with a short message “Semi-Final #EuropaLeague #alwaysbelieve.”

Nicolo Barella and Romeku Lukaku scored for Inter before Kai Havertz reduced the deficit for the Bundesliga side.

Inter will meet either Shakhtar Donetsk or Basel who will play on Tuesday night.

Also on Monday Europa League quarter-final game, Odion Ighalo did not taste any action as Manchester United progressed to the last four.

Ighalo who played 90 minutes in the second leg round of 16 against LASK at Old Trafford missed out from Ole Gunnar Solksjaer starting XI.

Manchester United toiled hard to pick an extra time win courtesy of a spot kick goal by Bruno Fernandes against FC Copenhagen in the 94th minute.

Ighalo who have scored five goals for the Red Devils in all competition was starved of playing time in the concluded 2019-2020 Premier League season.

United will play against either Wolves or Sevilla in the semi-final.

The remaining games of the Europa League will be played as one-leg.
