Ghana Fatau Dauda – training without playing games is very difficult

Fatau Dauda discussed difficulties for goalkeepers during coronavirus outbreak as all football activities have been halted in Ghana since March due to the deadly virus.

Fatau Dauda revealed what the pain is for goalkeepers as there are no more competition with Ghana Premier League suspended.

Indeed, Legon Cities shot-stopper said keepers are more touched by the coronavirus pandemic.

“It is very difficult training without playing games, especially if your are a goalkeeper,” the 35-year-old said, per Ghanasoccer.net.

Moreover, ex-Orlando Pirates gloves man said they are facing a risk. That of losing reflexes. Though players as well are concerned, but it is more crucial for goalkeepers, according to him.

He then urges to improvise in order to keep the level high.

“You may end up loosing your reflexes, so if you don’t improvise and adjust by training on your own, it will be difficult,” he added.

In addition, former Black Stars goalkeeper played for Ghanaian clubs the likes of Ashanti Gold (2006 – 2010) and Ashanti Gold during for two seasons. That is from 2014 to 2016.

Besides, he experienced above adventures also with the most relevant one at Orlando Pirates. His spell with the Buccaneers was short as he completed just one season with Soweto giants (2013 – 2014).

Apart from Pirates, he also played for South African Premier Division side Chippa United. As he made one part of the 2014 – 2015 season with the Port Elizabeth side.

The Obuasi-native also featured for Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) side Eyimba FC. He spent 3 seasons with Aba giants from 2016 to 2019.
