Manchester City are keen on landing Kalidou Koulibaly from Italian top-flight side Naples as the Etihad Stadium outfit is believed to have reached an agreement over th the transfer fee of the Senegal international.
While waiting to agree with Napoli on the amount of the transfer, the English club have reached an agreement with Koulibaly on the amount of his salary.
Now eliminated from the Champions League, City can focus on their transfer window.
About the Senegalese defender, discussions have been opened with the Napoli leaders and an offer of 63 million euros + 10 million euros in bonus has been made to the Italian club by Txiki Begiristain, the sporting director of the English club. But Napoli pushed him back and demand € 70million for their defender.
Kalidou Koulibaly, it should be remembered, is under contract until June 2023 with Napoli.
