FC Sochaux-Montbéliard has announed today that Ivorian striker, Chris Bédia arrived in the club ready for one season loan. He was coming from the Belgian club, RSC Charleroi.

He has been riding the pine for several days already upon his arrival in Bonal on 8 August. Chris Bédia (1.90m/24 years old) finally received the green light to sign his new loan contract for FC Sochaux. As reported in La Nouvelle Gazette early this month, the Ivorian does not fit Karim Belhocine’s plans for the 2020/2021. And the player will therefore not be kept by Sporting Charleroi this summer. While interests from several Belgian clubs for the Ivorian striker were announced, the latter finally chose France.

In fact, according to the Soir news, the 24-year-old should be loaned to FC Sochaux-Montbéliard this season. Moreover, according to the French daily, the native of Abidjan has already taking part in training sessions with the club. As a reminder, the player has already been loaned in Ligue 2 last season. He was at Troyes, where he played 22 games and scored 3 goals in the league.

The 24 years old left-handed was trained at the Tours FC. From 2016 to 2018, he evolved in Belgium. First at Charleroi, then in a second time on loan to the SV Zulte-Waregem. Chris Bédia played in the U23 teams of Ivory Coast. He distinguished himself with the Ivorian U17 playing 2015 AFCON and scored two goals. He also played U20 (scoring two goals in the Toulon Tournament) and the Olympic selection.
