Africa Soccer CAF unveils qualifiers date for 2021 AFCON and 2022 World Cup

CAF have announced on Wednesday that 2021 AFCON qualifiers will be played in November as the organization unveils schedule for fixtures.

Faced with the postponement of the final tournament to January 2022, CAF reschedules its qualifications. So far, only 2 days of the playoffs have been played. Days 3 and 4 of the qualifiers will therefore be played between November 9 and 17.

We will have to wait until next year to complete the qualifiers for Cameroon. Days 5 and 6 will be played between March 22 and 30, 2021.

In addition, the international window from October 5 to 13 is available for national associations.

In addition, qualifying for the 2022 World Cup will finally begin next year. From May 31 to June 15, 2021 for the first two days. From August 30 to September 7 (days 3 and 4) then days 5 and 6 from August 4 to 12.

Finally, the play-offs to know the 5 qualified for Qatar will be determined from November 8 to 16, 2021.

This announcement follows confirmation of the new international calendar on Tuesday by FIFA .
