Zambia FA (Football Association of Zambia, FAZ) denounces the act of producing fake Zambia national team jerseys as the association is set to make severe decisions.

In recent days, some football jerseys bearing FAZ logo has been found on the social network. And this is not a product of the governing body of Zambian football.

In order to stop the phenomenon, FAZ decided to threaten the counterfeits of severe penalties.

“ We would like to strongly warn those who sell counterfeit goods that we will continue to crack down on them. A recent operation recovered replicas bearing the FAZ logo which were sold illegally with the culprits brought to justice, ”said Joseph Chimpampwe, Deputy Secretary General of Zambia FA.

In February 2018, the federation had already taken a Chinese merchant to court for the marketing of fake jerseys.

The Chipolopolo have been wearing Kopa for three years, a local equipment manufacturer subsidized by the federation. 

In addition, the authority indicates that the FAZ logo is the property of the institution and any misuse will be punished by law.
