Peter Butler is handed another year as the head coach of Liberia national football team as announced by Liberia Football Association (LFA) boss Mustapha Raji.

Butler has been in charge of the Lone stars since August 2019. While his goal was to qualify Liberia for CAN 2021, he was quickly taken out in the preliminaries against Chad (1-0, 0-1; 5- 4 tab).

Now all that remains is to make a good impression in the group stage of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

Until then he remains on a balance sheet of 3 wins and 3 losses in 6 games with Liberia.

A former Huddersfield and Halifax player, Butler has one more year to raise the bar. The Englishman has notably trained in Botswana or even clubs in South Africa (Platinum Stars).
