Ghana Premier League Gyan and Muntari : They Will Boost Ghana’s Economy as for Neil Armstrong-Mortagbe

Neil Armstrong-Mortagbe, former Hearts of Oak Managing Director believes the Asamoah Gyan and Sulley Muntari will boost Ghana’s economy. This is with regard to the desire of the two black stars to the Ghana Premier League next season.

Muntari has been clubless following his exit from Spanish lower-tier team Albacete in June 2019. He was at the end of a six-month contract.

AC Milan former midfielder, Sulley Muntari was linked with a move to Hearts of Oak. And the player is reportedly seen at training session with the club several times. Hence, Muntari confirmed this information in his conversation with his fans on Instagram. He would like to retire at Asante Kotoko. But moving to Hearts of Oak or RTU is also other options.

As for Asamoah Gyan, he has already expressed his intension of playing for the Porcupine Warriors before retiring from football. After ending his partnership with Indian Super League club, NorthEast United FC, Gyan is about to move to the club of Kumasi.

And according to Mr Mortagbe, Ghana’s economy will boost massively should both players return to the local top-flight.

Asamoah Gyan and Sulley Muntari returning to the local league will serve as a major boost as it has economic and commercial benefits.” He told Skyy Power FM.

FA can also leverage on the two brands and use it to add value to the league and secure sponsorships.” He added.

Muntari and Gyan both played in the 2006, 2010 and 2014 FIFA World Cup respectively.
