Basketball Rwanda could host 2021 Afrobasket qualifiers

Rwanda could finally host three of the 2021 Afrobasket qualifiers instead of one as previously scheduled by FIBA Africa.

Initially, Group D of the qualifiers. With Nigeria, Algeria and Mali. But finally Rwanda could also welcome groups A and B.

“ Regarding the pandemic situation and the lack of health security in other countries, we would like to take advantage of Rwanda’s good management policy to successfully fight against Covid19 ”, we read in a letter from Fiba Africa addressed to the federation Rwandan.

This should also serve as a test for Rwanda, already host country of the final phase of Afrobasket next year.

Here are the groups of the Afrobasket 2021 qualifiers

A : Tunisia, Central African Republic, DR Congo, Madagascar

B : Senegal, Angola, Mozambique, Kenya

C : Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Guinea, Equatorial Guinea

D : Nigeria, Mali, Rwanda, Algeria

E : Morocco, Egypt, Uganda, Winner Zone 3
