The provisional date of 10th October set for the start of the 2020-2021 season in Togo is in bad way. Since the announcement, the country has extended the state of emergency with regard to the health crisis.
On Wednesday, the sports federations were with the minister in charge. The objective of the meeting was to call on them to think about the conditions for early resumption of competitions.
“To help the government taking into account the situation of the sporting community, it is necessary that proposals come from actors themselves.” Urged Katari Foli-Bazi, Minister of Sports.
As in other African countries, the Covid-19 has blocked sports activities in Togo since March.
A situation that compromises the date of 10th October previously put forward by the FTF (Togolese Football Federation). On the other hand, it should obtain a derogation to allow the national teams to resume training. This in view of international events.
