Nigeria Kano Pillars To Use Tafawa Balewa Stadium For CAF Confederation Cup

Nigeria Professional Football League(NPFL) club Kano Pillars has been given the concession to use the Tafawa Balewa Stsdium as their home in the 2020-2021 CAF Confederation Cup.

 Kano Pillars will not use their Sani Abacha Stadium fortress in Kano due to it’s poor situation.

After making official request to the Bauchi State government to allow them use the stadium facilities, the request was granted.

Bauchi State commissioner for Youths and Sports, Alhaji Adamu disclosed the approval in a letter to the chairman of Kano Pillars FC, Alhaji Surajo Shaaibu Jambul.

 Alhaji Adamu was in the secretariat of the club to present the approval letter to the Sai Masu Gida and assured them of Bauchi State governor’s full support for their success in the continent.

He said, “Let me reafirmed to you that Government and good people of Bauchi state is behind you and prayed for you for a successful outing in this competition, the commissioner said.”

 Responding on behalf of the Kano state Government, the chairman of Kano Pillars FC, Alhaji Surajo Shaaibu Jambul thanked the Bauchi state Governor for accepting the request tendered to him by the Aiteo cup holders to play their home matches at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa stadium for the 2020/2021 CAF Confederation cup.

 Alhaji Surajo Shaaibu Jambul said with this development, he is in full of joy and assured that the relationship of the two state would be sustain not only in football matters but in all ways of life.

 He promised that he will deliver the letter to the Kano state commissioner for youths and sports, Comrade Kabiru Ado Lakwaya in order to present it to the state Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

Kano Pillars finished fourth in the abridged 2019-2020 season.
