Africa Peter Shalulile Grateful Ahead of His Pending Transfer to Mamelodi Sundowns

Peter Shalulile is about to sign at Mamelodi Sundowns. Namibian striker declared that having chance to play in African club competition was one of the key reasons he agreed.

He freshly ended a Premier Soccer League (PSL) season in which he scored 16 goals for Highlands Park. This performance enabled him to share the Golden Boot award with Orlando Pirates’ Frank Mhango. At 27 years old, Peter will head to Chloorkop alongside teammate Mothobi Mvala. While awaitng the signing of his new contract, the striker feels grateful.

I’m very happy that I’m going there you know, to add more value, and to learn. I’ve always wanted to play at Sundowns, wanted to play CAF in Africa. So they gave me the platform to play in Africa and I’m grateful for that. They’ve been communicating with my manager.” Shalulile told KickOff in regards to his pending transfer.

You have to be grateful for what you get in life sometimes. It’s all about the belief you know, the belief you have in yourself and your ability… It’s the encouragement from the coaches when they say as a striker you always have to be in the box if you want to score goals. And that’s definitely what I did. We stayed in the box, waited for the right opportunity. And when the opportunity comes you take it from there.” The Namibian added,
