English Championship side have announced the arrival of South African coach Quinton Fortune as the 43-year-old left Manchester United for the Berkshire side.
Quinton Fortune was working at Manchester United U-23 team as assistant coach since July 2019. However, the Cape Town-born left Red Devils’ youth side as Championship side Reading FC hands him first team coach role.
“We are pleased to confirm that Quinton Fortune and Nuno Gomes have both put pen to paper to sign coaching contracts with the Royals,” Reading FC wrote on their official website.
“The duo arrive as part of our new manager’s first team staff and joined Veljko Paunović on the training pitch for the first time this morning.
“Former Manchester United midfielder Quinton Fortune joins the club as First Team Coach.”
In addition, Fortune has played for Manchester United as a midfielder from 1999 to 2006.
