Ramadan Sobhi said money was not a factor that push him to join Pyramids FC as the White Knights completed his signing on a five-year deal on Monday.
It was one of the hottest and as well controversial summer transfer saga in Egyptian football these last months. But Ramadan Sobhi managed to leave childhood club Al Ahly to commit his future to arch-rivals Pyramids FC.
However, some may suppose that the 23-year-old has been influenced by what he is going to earn with Cairo giants. But Sobhi said no, joining Ramon Diaz’s team.
“I didn’t move to Pyramids because of money but because the club is run in a European style and our ambitions have matched together,” Al Ahly Academy graduate said, per KingFut.

“The decision to join Pyramids was mine only and no other person have interfered in it. It is an interesting challenge for me, the way they [Pyramids] are run is no different than what I saw abroad.” he added.
“I have signed a five-year contract with Pyramids. Abdallah El-Said and Ali Gabr were the first to congratulate me. I am happy to be at the club, negotiations didn’t take long. I hope to achieve positive results with the team.”
