African legend and Cameroon superstar Samuel Eto’o has expressed delight following his former teammate Lionel Messi’s decision to stay at Barcelona.

The football world, like Eto’o, held their breath after Messi decided to leave his training club. Weeks after this outing, the six-fold Ballon d’Or did an about-face and decided to continue its adventure in Catalonia. A decision that the former FC Barcelona striker welcomes.

“  I’m happy because my son Messi has stayed at home. And at Barça we need players with Blaugrana DNA  , ”he said during the presentation of the new La Liga season.

Even if Samuel Eto’o is happy with Messi’s turnaround, he sends a strong message to the club management.

“ Messi is not enough. In the market, you have to look for players who have the tiki-taka style and not box-to-box, ”he concluded.
