Premier League Abdoulaye Doucoure opens up on his move to Everton

France international Abdoulaye Doucoure has revealed reasons his to Everton following his three-years contract signing with the Toffees.

The French footballer is transferred to the Toffees against a check for 20 million pounds, or 22 million euros, according to the English press. The 27-year-old initialed a three-year contract on Tuesday, until June 2023, plus an optional one in favor of the club on the banks of the Mersey.

“I’ve been waiting a long time to come here and now it’s happened so I’m very happy. There was interest from other clubs but from the start when Everton showed interest in me I told my agent to focus on Everton. It was the only club I wanted to join. Everton have a great history in English football and they are a good club for me to take a step forward in my career. I’m very happy now to be an Everton player and very excited for the future, ” Doucoure said on the Everton website.

The third big blow from the Toffees after the recent arrivals of midfielders Allan and James Rodriguez. The former French international hopeful also wanted to justify his arrival under the orders of Carlo Ancelotti.
