Black Stars legend Rev Osei Kofi has urged Asamoah Gyan to retire from international duty as new roles have been defined by Charles Akonnor.

Asamoah Gyan has been forgotten as CK Akonnor confirmed Andre Ayew as captain of Black Stars. Thomas Partey has been named deputy captain and Richard Ofori 2nd vice-captain.

With these new nominations, Osei Kofi urges Gyan to leave the national team.

“Good name is better than riches and if Gyan will listen to me, he should quit the Black Stars because he is not the Gyan we use to know,” Rev Osei Kofi told Angel FM.

“I think he should honorably resign from the team to save his name.” he added.
