Another record broken this Thursday at the Rome Diamond League Meeting. Uganda’s Jacob Kiplimo set a record over 3,000 meters.
With a time of 7:26.64, Kiplimo took the lead over Norway’s Jakob Ingebritsen (7:27.05). The latter set a national record over the distance. Australian Stewart McSweyn climbed onto the podium with (7’28 02).
For Kiplimo, 19 years old, it was a personal and also Ugandan record over the distance. It is also the fastest time record on 3000 m since 2007.
