Foot Europe Manchester United : Odion Ighalo Not In The Top 6 Player Of The Year

For the 2019-2020 campaign, former Nigeria international, Odion Ighalo has missed out on Manchester United’s Player of the Year. The Nigerian forward was long-listed with 26 other United first teamers for the yearly Award.

On Friday Manchester United informed via their official website that Bruno Fernandes has been crowned as the winner of the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year award. This was following a brilliant start to his career at Old Trafford.

With 35.5 percent of the votes, Fernandes finished first in the poll. Narrowly beating Anthony Martial with 34 percent while Marcus Rashford earned 10.4 percent of the votes.

Mason Greenwood (8.3 percent), Aaron Wan-Bissaka (3.8 percent). And Harry Maguire (2.4 percent) finishing fourth, fifth and sixth respectively. Ighalo does not appear in the top six.

The Manchester United number 25 scored five goals in 19 appearances all competitions included in the second half of last season.

Ighalo was also in the running for United’s Goal of the Season. Trophy unfortunately won by Rashord for his brilliant long range strike vs Chelsea in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.
