Italy Ibrahimovic Mocks COVID-19 After Testing Positive

AC Milan forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic is livid with COVID-19 after it left him out of Thursday’s Europa League action against Bodo/Glimt.


The Ibrahimovic was confirmed to have tested positive to COVID-19 on Thursday ahead of the game.


The Swede who had on Wednesday tested negative was surprised how he could test positive again.

“I tested negative to Covid yesterday and positive today, he wrote on his Twitter.”


“No symptoms what so ever.

“Covid had the courage to challenge me. Bad idea.”

AC Milan in a statement said their striker has gone on self-isolation.

“Zlatan Ibrahimović has tested positive for Covid-19 following a second round of swab tests ahead of tonight’s game against Bodø/Glimt. 

“The Club has informed the relevant authorities and the player has been promptly placed in quarantine at home. 


“All other team members and staff have tested negative.”

The club will also miss the service of their Brazilian defender Leo Duarte.


Duarte tested positive to Covid-19 also and manager, Stefano Pioli will be forced to use Simone Kjaer and Matteo Gabbia will start in the centre of defence.


Davide Calabria will be deployed to right-back and Theo Hernandez at left-back.

“AC Milan announce that the player Leo Duarte tested positive after the swab tests the players carried out yesterday and was promptly placed in home quarantine.

“The other members of the group have all tested negative.”
