Former Asante Kotoko and current Elmina Sharks midfielder Richard Mpong said playing in Ghana Premier League is not benefit as ones waste his time.

Mpong, 30, played all along his career in Ghana. And now, he is regretting not to have the chance to evolve abroad.

“Playing in GPL is waste of time. If you play in the domestic league and you are able to take care of your family then you are fortunate.” Richard Mpong told Angel FM, per GhanaWeb.

“If you have two or three kids and at the same time in a relationship with a lady, it will be difficult to survive as a player,” former Aduana Stars player added.
