Born in Montpellier, France but of Ghanaian origin, Alexander Djiku (25) finally chose the Black Stars. Charles Akonnor has even listed for FIFA international window in October.

A real reinforcement for Ghana. The Strasbourg defender will now evolve under the colors of the Black Stars. His decision is a great delight for the national team coach.

“I’m personally delighted about him because at one point we didn’t know if he wanted to come. He had no problem changing his nationality but the decision to come and play. Now he decided to come and so on. I am very delighted about it.” Akonnor said.

Alexander Djiku will make his great debut with Ghana against Turkey in a friendly match on 12 October.
