Nigerian Players abroad Odysseus Alfa : “It Doesn’t Make Sense For Me To Represent Another Nation”

After Nicholas Okoro, it is the turn of another Nigeria-eligible palyer to make his decision. Queens Park Rangers winger Odysseus Alfa is the latest dual-eligible player to commit his international career to Nigeria over England.

The 21-year-old has made it clear it doesn’t make sense to represent another country. As he was born in Nigeria plus the fact that his parents are Nigerians.

I was born in Kaduna, Nigeria. Most likely my international future lies with Nigeria. My family is Nigerian, I was born there so it doesn’t make sense for me to represent another nation.” Alfa told allnigeriasoccer.com.

Alfa is a tricky winger and one of his biggest strengths is his dribbling skills. And he has revealed that he’s aiming at improving his game by watching some of the world’s top wingers.

I don’t model my game around anyone in particular. But I like to watch and learn a lot of attributes from top players. So I always watch the top wingers in the world, like Serge Gnabry, Lionel Messi, Wilfried Zaha. And look at what skills and attributes I can replicate.

My main strengths would be my speed and dribbling skills. I think I can be tricky with my dribbling too which gives me different ways to work my way and attack.” The Queens Park Rangers number 34 added.
